MUC 370 - General Music Methods I, 2 credit hours

Prerequisite(s): MUC 171X; PSY 205
The study of methods and materials for teaching music to children, pre-K through elementary school. Includes child development, music teaching philosophies and theories, planning and assessment, use of technology, and sequencing of skills in general music settings. Supervised clinical and field experiences of 10 hours is required.
