HPE 319W - Child in the Family, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): HPE 216W or junior/senior standing A study of the factors involved in the physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and language development of children through age six. The home environment and other factors (e.g. childcare centers, family day care, and community support) important to the total development of children are emphasized. Practical applications to solve problems or to deal with day-to-day issues facing families with young children are explored.
