This course is an exploration of the particular histories of the “British” Isles: Ireland, Scotland and Wales, both independent of and intertwined with the history of England through its developments Starting with their ancient Celtic foundations, the course will examine the political, social, economic and cultural institutions of these countries up to the present day.
