EGR 201 - Statics and Stress Analysis, 4 credit hours

Prerequisite(s): MTH 141 and CSC 212. PHY 145 or PHY 131. PHY 146 or PHY 132.
Deflections, deformations, stress, and strain of rigid bodies due to forces and moments. Axial compressive and tensile forces and stress, moments, bending and deflection. Safe working stresses, yield and failure points. Includes laboratory and design project.
