SPM 343 - Legal Issues in Sport Management, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): HPE 201 , SPM 243 or consent of instructor This course is designed to focus on legal issues and interpretation of the law as it applies to sports and recreation. In particular, students will be exposed to the legal responsibilities that impact the decision making and risk management processes in sports and recreation organizations. Topics include contracts, torts, regulation of sports, and legal principles as applied to the administration and management of sports programs.
