PHT 630 - Violence & Public Health, 3 credit hours With experiences ranging from interpersonal violence between family members to those experiencing war as either combatants or noncombatants, violence is a major issue in Public Health. The course will examine the impact violence in all forms has upon the lives of those involved and social, cultural, and political factors that relate to it. Students will also examine the social, psychological, and medical effect of violence. Students will also examine programmatic and other mechanisms to reduce disparities and experience of violence.
