HIS 292I - History of East Asia II, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): One 100-level history course or INT 200I or ASN 100I A survey of the history of East Asia (primarily China, Japan, Korea, and Mongolia) from the rise of the Mongols to the present, emphasizing interactions between state and society, the evolution of East Asian political, social, economic, and cultural institutions, relations among East Asian societies and between East Asia and the outside world, and the impact of imperialism and modernization.
