ART 241 - Graphic Design II, 2 credit hours Notes: This class will require a laptop computer with an Adobe CC subscription and require students to cover costs for arts supplies and printing.
Prerequisite(s): ART 240 & CSC 135 In ART-241 Graphic Design II, students will learn how to apply their prior graphic design knowledge to website design. As part of the course work, students will learn the website design process from concept to code. Students learn and apply skills to construct a well-designed, responsive, trending, professional website. Other areas addressed include HTML, CSS, SEO, page optimization, navigation, email design, website images, color and font usage, browser compatibility, basic UX/UI, accessibility, and more.
Students must provide a laptop computer to be used in class and have a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud Software (Adobe CC), specifically Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe XD. Brackets, an open-source software, is also required.
