EDU 434 - Diagnostic and Remedial Reading Methods in the Inclusive Early Childhood Setting, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): Completion of core math; all 100 and 200 level EDU courses; and either EDU 333 or EDU 343 . Corequisite(s): Must be taken concurrently with EDU 314 , EDU 337 . Students will study diagnostic and remedial techniques for teaching reading to students who are experiencing difficulty in reading. This course is designed for students preparing to teach in early childhood, middle childhood, and mild/moderate educational needs settings. This course meets the Quantitative Extension Core requirement.
A field experience is required.
