ASW 221W - Personal Health, 3 credit hours The study of the health problems and concerns of young adults in America today. Although normally selected by members of the class, topics of study usually include stress management and emotional health, chemical dependency, sexual responsibility, nutrition, fitness, heart disease, cancer and the communicable diseases including the STDs and AIDS. With the focus on prevention, students are encouraged to make lifestyle choices conducive to lifelong wellness.
