ASW 319W - Child in the Family, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): ASW 216W or junior/senior standing A study of the factors involved in the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of children through a community and whole child approach to child development. Particular focus will be placed on external environmental factors influencing the development of children. Additional emphasis on child advocacy and policy development will also be a key component with practical applications to solve problems to deal with day-to-day issues facing families in our current society.
