CSC 240 - Object-Oriented Programming, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): CSC 210 or CSC 211 or CSC 212 any with a “C” or better. This three credit course builds on the introductory programming concepts presented in Computer Science I by introducing students to the object-oriented programming paradigm. Topics include abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, object-oriented design and, as time permits, use of advanced language features such as generics, packages and interfaces. Students implement several applications of varying complexity in a current object-oriented programming language (currently Java).
