ASW 651 - Human Movement & Performance Lab, 2 credit hours Corequisite(s): ASW 645 This laboratory course provides students with practical performance experience and coaching theoretical foundations in a variety of activities and sports. Assessment of performance variables will be taught to then apply goal-oriented program design. Additional analysis of biomechanical factors related to movement technique to enhance performance and promote the welfare of participants in exercise, dance, recreation, and competitive sport will also be covered. The student will explore specific performance tactics related to contest and practice management and develop specific practice strategies to develop human performance related skills (eg. Speed, power, agility, strength, endurance & flexibility).
