EDU 584 - Pupil Services & Community Resources, 3 credit hours Notes: Required of all School Leadership candidates.
Prerequisite(s): EDU 580 This course is aligned with the National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP) Building Standards (1-7), Ohio’s Standards for Principals (2018) (1-10) and the administrative knowledge, dispositions, and performances needed to promote the current and future success and well-being of each student and adult by applying the knowledge, skills, and commitments necessary to develop and maintain a supportive, equitable, culturally responsive, and inclusive school culture. In addition, candidates will learn about evidence-based strategies to engage families, community, and school personnel in order to strengthen student learning, support school improvement, and advocate for the needs of their school and community. Special topic speakers and panels of practicing building/district leaders from the field are included as part of the periodic live virtual sessions.
