EGR 310 - Thermodynamics & Fluid Mechanics II, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): EGR 203 & MTH 245 This is a follow-on course to the first course in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics for engineering students. The Second Law and principle of entropy and irreversibility is given a thorough treatment. Power plant and automotive-engine cycles are covered. Compressible flow (gas dynamics) is given comprehensive treatment to include aircraft-engine flow, rocket propulsion & shock waves. Includes a design project.
