EDU 606 - District Decision-Making for Evidence-Based Improvement, 3 credit hours This course is aligned with the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) standards (RA1.1), National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP) District Standards (1, 4, 6), Ohio’s Standards for Superintendents (2008) (1, 4, 5) and the administrative knowledge, dispositions, and performances needed to lead and manage the complex decisionmaking processes faced by today’s district school leaders that must be grounded in research and evidence. This course includes: data analytics, decision science, data visualization, data tools, district decision making (functional and strategic), educational data mining, school evidence-based improvement. Special topic speakers and panels of practicing building/district leaders from the field are included as part of the periodic live virtual sessions.
