THE 290 - Fundamentals of Directing, 3 credit hours

Notes: Required of all theatre majors in the acting and directing and stage management concentrations.

Prerequisite(s): THE 110 and THE 190
A study of the basic principles and techniques of directing for the stage: exploring the role of the director, script analysis for a director, and basic principles of approaching staging including practical lab experience in rehearsing and presenting a scene.
