EDU 211D - Exploring Education in a Diverse Society, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): ENG 131 and Sophomore standing The aim of the course is to sensitize teacher education candidates and other interested students to the differing needs of children/adolescents and to foster an exploration of their beliefs and experiences with regard to issues of diversity. Participants in the course will understand critical concepts of teaching and learning in a multi-cultural classroom. A field experience is required.
