SPN 101 - Elementary Spanish I, 4 credit hours

Prerequisite(s): None. Appropriate course for beginners. Students with more than two years of high school Spanish must have special permission of the instructor to register for SPN 101.
Students of Spanish 101 are expected to develop low-intermediate proficiency to carry out introductions and basic discussion of one’s academic and personal life across the four language skills of speaking, listening, basic reading and writing. Course includes discussion of featured cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world. Students are expected to continue with SPN 102.
