SPN 360S - Spanish Business for Professionals, 3 credit hours

Prerequisite(s): SPN 280 or permission of the instructor
The course offers students an introduction to the use of Spanish in professional contexts through both service-learning and career-development activities. In these components of the course, students will apply their Spanish-language skills while completing service projects for organizations serving the Latinx population in Cleveland. Students will also learn how to navigate the job-search process in Spanish through the production of a résumé, a cover letter, a LinkedIn account, and the participating in a mock interview. Additional readings and discussions will explore the diverse cultures of Latin America and their place in a globalized society.
