CSD 552S - Integrations: Policy & Advocacy, 2 credit hours

This course is designed to help link the content taught in lecture-based classes to clinic practicum experiences with the primary focus being policy analysis and advocacy. Students will discuss ethical dilemmas, third party reimbursement and coding for billing, regulatory compliance in varied clinical settings, critically analyze policy text, engage in advocacy activities, discuss cultural differences and their potential impact on services, and reflect on clinical experiences. Other topics will be included as needed.
