CSD 555 - Special Populations Across the Lifespan, 3 credit hours

This course will allow students to discuss the speech-language needs of special populations. Disorders that will be discussed within this course include autism, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, head and neck cancer, intellectual disability, tracheostomy and ventilator needs, and cleft palate. Assessment, diagnosis, intervention, prognosis, and evidence-based practice will be covered as it applies to each disorder.
