CSD 677 - Capstone in Speech-Language Pathology, 3 credit hours

A portfolio-based course in which students integrate evidence regarding the clinical knowledge and skills obtain both the classroom and clinical settings to demonstrate competency in prevention, assessment, and intervention of communication disorders across the lifespan. In addition, evidence of competency in the professional practice areas of cultural competence, evidence-based practice, Interprofessional education and practice, and supervision will be demonstrated through artifacts and reflective approaches to learning. Knowledge about certification, licensure, specialty recognition, ethical conduct, contemporary professional issues and other relevant issues regarding employment and life as a professional will also be demonstrated in this course.
