POL 317 - Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): Students must be at least sophomore standing. Existing coursework in the social sciences or computer science is recommended. In the age of digital everything, cybersecurity is everything. This class is focused on the legal, policy, and strategic challenges of cybersecurity. The course will address the political and legal aspects of cybersecurity, including national and international laws and regulations. Students will learn about the role of governments and international organizations in protecting against cyber threats and promoting cybersecurity. Whatever your major this course will give you a well-rounded understanding of the non-technical side of cyberspace. This class does not require a computer science background.
