NUR 305 - Global Engagement in Healthcare, 3 credit hours

This course provides students with the opportunity to explore global aspects of health care, considering healthcare policies, politics, and care delivery methods. Central to the course is an analysis of health-related organizations and governmental influence. While the U.S. has a largely private system and patchwork of health insurances and governmental programs, other countries universal health care for all citizens. Students will explore the similarities and differences between health systems in different countries and will consider current issues and opportunities for reform to improve health conditions for all citizens.
