ART 141 - Website Design, 3 credit hours

This course teaches students how to design, code, and test a live website. As part of the course work, students will learn the website design process from concept to code. Students will focus on standard web development languages and tools, including HTML, XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Use of open-source web editing tools, such as Brackets, is also included. Students learn and apply these skills to construct a well-designed, responsive, professional email blast and website. Other areas addressed include SEO, page optimization, navigation, email design, website images, color and font usage, browser compatibility, basic UX/UI, accessibility, and more.
