ART 361 - Advanced Typography, 3 credit hours

Prerequisite(s): ART 241 and ART 261
This course is a continuation of ART 261, Typography. Using a combination of lab and lecture, this course focuses on utilizing utilize macro/micro typography, grid structure, pacing, and controlled variance to visual communicate a message using typography. Students will use varying formats (web, long form, multi-page document, etc.), color and image to solve visual problems. In addition, students explore folding vs. stitched layouts, prepping for production, and mock up. Students use the Adobe CC Suite to complete projects and solve problems aimed at achieving these goals.
