BUS 552 - Environmental Science and Regulation for Sustainable Business, 3 credit hours This course provides students with basic scientific knowledge essential for understanding the problems and potential solutions associated with human-induced ecological changes. This would include a review of the scientific method and ecosystem structure and function, examination of environmental issues related to human population dynamics, energy production and consumption, land use perturbations, climate, toxicology, risk, and human health. The course also focuses on government regulatory environments (local to global) that impact a firm’s sustainability behavior and performance.
