EDU 516 - Technology Integration: Multimedia and Instructional Design, 3 credit hours Notes: Required of all Teaching & Learning candidates.
Prerequisite(s): EDU 514 The focal point of this course is the integration of technology through the use of multimedia as a method to address students’ learning styles. Some topics, including 21st Century learning skills, to be discussed in human-computer interaction are user-centered design, social aspects of computing, computer-supported cooperative work and creative and effective educational design of multimedia. Candidates will create media products, including, but not limited to web pages and student portfolios. This course develops instructional systems design competencies appropriate for the development of computer-assisted instruction applications. Web-based and interactive video classroom modeling will be an integral part of the course as well as field application.
