BUS 509 - Organizational Behavior, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): BUS 501 This course provides an analysis of behavioral science approaches to organizations stressing the implications of theoretical concepts on managerial practice. The course provides various approaches to viewing organizations, including the open systems model, principals of organizational behavior, community planning, constituency development, organizational change concepts, and the renewal process. Topics are examined at the levels of individual, group and organizational. Additional topics emphasized include leadership, individual needs and organization requirements, group processes, motivation & job satisfaction, global management, communication, organizational change and development.
