ECN 464 - Research Seminar, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): Completion of all required courses for Economics majors and senior standing or permission of instructor; for non-majors senior standing or permission of instructor. In this senior capstone experience students will review and discuss the main research methods used by economists. Students will undertake a capstone research project following the scientific method. Students will select and refine a research question. A thorough research of the literature will be conducted. Hypothesis construction, data analysis, and conclusions will be premised on economic theory. Results will be presented and discussed at various stages of the research process. As a Writing Extension course students will engage in instructor guided, authentic writing opportunities.
