EDU 330 - Assessment and Data Based Decision Making in Early Childhood Education, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): Completion of all 100 and 200 level EDU courses. Corequisite(s): Must be taken concurrently with EDU 323 & EDU 333 . This course introduces students to assessment strategies appropriate for use in early childhood learning settings. Alternatives to formal standardized testing including naturalistic, authentic, and performance assessment will be investigated. The course addresses current issues relevant to assessment in early childhood education. Students will learn strategies of data-based decision making.
A field experience is required.
