MUC 223I - Music History & Literature 2 Renaissance and Baroque Music History, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): MUC 221I or the ability to read music and consent of instructor. Corequisite(s): This course should ordinarily be taken concurrently with MUC 213 . A study of stylistic developments and representative masterworks of the Renaissance and Baroque eras of Western music. Music is studied in its cultural and historical contexts. Includes significant listening, score study, and written work. Fulfills the core writing extension requirement.
