MUC 412 - Music Academic Studies Seminar, 0 credit hours Prerequisite(s): Must be a music major to enter course. A seminar for music history and music theory majors to be taken throughout the junior and senior years. This seminar will include a series of lectures, presentations, and discussions led by department faculty and visiting scholars. It is meant to demonstrate musical scholarship and provide guidance for students as they work through their undergraduate research projects. Additionally, the seminar will focus on professional development topics such as graduate school applications, graduate entrance exams, graduate and undergraduate scholarships, graduate assistantships, conference proposals, and professional etiquette. This seminar is open to interested students, faculty, and/or staff who would benefit from the information.
