CRJ 277 - Race, Gender & Justice, 3 credit hours Prerequisite(s): SOC 100D or CRJ 165 This course explores the intersection between race and gender inequalities and the criminal justice system. It will examine the nature and extent of gender and racial/ethnic minorities as offenders, as victims, and as workers in the criminal justice system. The course will explore theories of criminality, race/ethnicity and gender. The impact of criminal justice related law, policy, and practice on inequalities gender and the larger implications for society and culture will be considered.
