ART 240 - Graphic Design I, 2 credit hours In this studio course students will generate independent creative solutions to a series of design problems that answer the question: “How do graphic designers create compelling print layouts that effectively communicate to their target audience?” Students will learn how to apply basic design principles and elements to create informative and/or persuasive print layouts. In addition to the graphic terms and techniques learned, students will expand their knowledge in other design processes including, brainstorming, conceptualizing, critical thinking, industry standard software (Adobe Creative Cloud), mock-up and project presentation.
