MTH 120 - Applied College Mathematics, 4 credit hours Notes: Admission to the 4 credit hour version is through departmental approval.
Prerequisite(s): Will require placement into course based on ACT/SAT scores, placement test, C or better in MTH-021/022, or by permission of instructor. This course is designed for freshmen and deals with the fundamental mathematical tools frequently applied in the natural, management and social sciences. Topics include linear, quadratic, exponential functions, linear systems, linear programming, mathematics of finance, and statistics. (All topics are approached with a view toward applications.) The 4 credit hour version includes some remedial topics.
