This minor provides students interested in the health care field with a focused knowledge base in the area of musculoskeletal injury. It provides knowledge related to orthopedic evaluation and treatment including but not limited to body mechanics, injury assessment, treatment and methodology. The courses allow students to develop psychomotor clinical evaluation skills that will complement the cognitive content. This minor is highly encouraged for those interested in pursuing a graduate degree in athletic training, physical therapy or exercise science.
