The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Program provides the graduate with the degree to teach a single content area (mathematics, science, physical science, history, social studies, English, and biology) in all grades 7-12. (A student may choose as many content areas as they wish, though it would mean adding several semesters to the four-year AYA Program if more than one is chosen.) The student who chooses the AYA Major will also select a content area from the following choices: Integrated Mathematics, Integrated Science, Physical Science, History: Integrated Social Studies, Social Science: Integrated Social Studies, English: Integrated Language Arts, and Life Science. To complete the required courses for the AYA B.S.Ed., students will need to complete Education Required Courses and Required Content Area Courses, as shown below, as well as the BW Core.
