Gender Studies Minor

Return to: Undergraduate Program Requirements
The minor requires a total of 18 credit hours from the courses listed below, with credit accumulated from at least three different departmental prefixes. Up to four of those 18 credit hours can be substituted with an approved Independent Study or Internship coordinated with a faculty member working within the Gender Studies minor. Completion of the minor requires a not-for-credit reflection paper that summarizes the student’s experience across the minor courses.

Requirements:
Choose 18 credits from at least 3 different prefixes from the following course listings. Student can also take up to 4 credits of independent study or internship for Gender Studies credit through one of the participating departments. (Gender Studies minors who have taken ENG 131 but who do not have the prerequisites to take a 300 level English course can ask to have the prerequisites waived by the professor of the class.) - ASW 330W - Human Sexuality Education, 3 credit hours
