The major in Pre-Allied Health/Pre-Physical Therapy is designed to provide a strong foundation in the fundamental principles of allied health science. The major offers the preparation necessary for continued study toward a degree in a related allied health profession. Students who complete this program can pursue further education in Physical or Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistants, Athletic Training, Chiropractics, Podiatry and Nursing.

- ASW 321 - Adapted Physical Activity, 3 credit hours
- ASW 402 - Kinesiology/Biomechanics, 3 credit hours
- BIO 121 - Fundamentals of Cellular and Molecular Biology, 4 credit hours

Note(s):
Students planning to pursue a graduate degree in physical therapy should consider PSY 100 , PSY 205 , PSY 302 , SOC 100D , and an additional statistics course. Students planning to pursue a graduate degree in athletic training should consider PSY 100 , ASW 205 , and ASW 211W and internships in a variety of settings. Other elective courses might be: ASW 300 , ASW 335 , ASW 423 , ASW 445 .
Courses required for the major do not necessarily need to be taken in the sequence listed unless as specified by course prerequisites.
