The major in health coaching and health promotion is designed to prepare the undergraduate student for competency in health coaching, promotion and disease prevention by helping individuals and small groups cultivate positive health behaviors choices. An emphasis will be placed on program design and behavior modification to educate and support diverse groups of clients achieve health goals. These programs may be implemented in schools or in public and private agencies, at the worksite, or in specialized and clinical settings.
