EGR 302 - Fluid Flow and Thermodynamics, 4 credit hours

Prerequisite(s): EGR 201, CHM 112 and MTH 142
Properties of fluids and dynamics of fluid flow in compressible and incompressible fluids. Principles of continuity and conservation of momentum and energy. Thermodynamics properties and processes for liquids and gases. Zeroth, first, and second laws of thermodynamics. Entropy, irreversibility, efficiency, and coefficient of performance. Heat engines, refrigeration, and heat pumps. Includes a lab and a design project.
